Hi, I’m Cindy. Welcome to Fit Nibbles! My purpose in creating this blog is to share my passion for healthy living through a whole foods, gluten-free diet. I have over 20 years of combined personal and professional experience in the area of nutrition and fitness that I love to share.
How did I get here? After unrelenting digestion problems throughout my life that only worsened with time, I came to adopt a gluten-free diet with great improvement in my symptoms. But, the gluten-free lifestyle doesn’t even begin to summarize my lifelong journey to health and fitness. After overcoming childhood weight issues and trying every diet on the market, I’ve gathered vast amounts of experiential knowledge through trial and error.
Along the way, I’ve been a personal trainer and nutrition coach and I earned my first Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition while continuing to explore new activities with great enthusiasm…running, cycling, hiking…you name it, I’ve done it.I love good food, though and healthy has to taste good and be quick and easy to prepare! Along the way, I’ve refined my food choices and my recipes are labeled accordingly so you can choose what’s right for your body.I’ve always enjoyed mixing things up in the kitchen and a lot of my recipes are my new and improved take on an old classic where I’ve either added in more nutritious ingredients or I’ve removed something not so healthy, all while keeping the flavor a priority. I make everything gluten-free and I use organic, local ingredients whenever possible.The most important discovery I’ve made along the way is that there is no place for guilt and shame in a healthy lifestyle.
